Horioangioma is usually a single tumor, but may be represented by several smaller sites. Usually it is on the fruit surface of the placenta. Rarely horioangioma can be localized to the maternal placental surface at amnialnyh membranes by attaching to the placenta vascular pedicle, and also at the root of the umbilical cord.
